About Us
In 2018 our family took over the oldest Italian restaurant in Doncaster.
Our aim was to bring not only the restaurant up-to-date but also the menu. Blending well-known favourites with contemporary dishes to elevate the dining experience for our guests.
We are very proud of what we have achieved in this time.
Perfect Party Venue
La Rustica is the perfect venue for a party of any size. It is possible to book the whole venue, with a capacity of around 100. Our restaurant is perfect for any event — birthdays. weddings, business meetings, work parties, christenings — we really do cover everything.
We can work alongside you to devise and prepare a bespoke menu for your event to replace our normal menu for your special occasion.

Authentic Cuisine
Our kitchen team are well versed in the craft of Italian cuisine using their knowledge to continuously weave ingredients to create dishes that are unique to our restaurant – keeping Italian heritage at the heart of every dish.
Our food is prepared, wherever possible, with locally-sourced ingredients of the highest quality and created with passion. You can rest assured that the dishes you receive table-side have had the chefs’ full attention during preparation.
Our pizza is hand-made with a unique blend of pizza and ciabatta dough, ensuring that the crust has a wonderful light bite whilst maintaining the central structure.
We are happy to discuss any dietary requirements with guests to ensure everyone has an exceptional dining experience. Wherever possible, please advise us of allergies when booking, so we may ensure individual needs are catered for. Please note we are not a nut-free restaurant.
Unique Atmosphere
At first glance La Rustica’s frontage looks unassuming but don’t let that fool you. Once you step over the threshold a warm welcome awaits from our front of house team, along with three levels of unique interior. Initially you will see table seating for around 8 people. A few steps up to the right leads to a spacious and comfortable bar and lounge area. where you can enjoy a drink or two or wait for friends before being escorted to your table.
The stairs to the left of the entrance leads down to the cellar – where you will find seating for 100+ guests – designed to transport you to the renowned vineyards Italy is famous for. Opening into an impressive flexible space, including intimate dining areas, the Mediterranean inspired tiling, red brick construction and rustic floors have to be seen to be believed.
So whether it is date night, family dining, business meeting or party time with friends, we have the space which will cater to your needs.
